about

Korablove comes back with stunning full length for Pro-Tez records. "Sociopath's Diary" is very mature and a well rounded body of work by Roman Smirnov. Korablove has an uncanny ability to construct an uplifting and melancholic, emotive mood, fuelled by the pulse of a tricky, toothy beat and dreamy pads. Recorded in Moscow over the past half year in the same recording studio as Scsi-9 use, "Sociopath's Diary" features also some of Roman's friends and colleagues. Ryba contributed gorgeous vocals for the track "Nothing to Say" that is starting to put this album in the post-club listening bracket but the run of tracks from "Percussionata" to 'I luv u so dub' maintains an ambiguous function that can easily keep the party perked or reclined depending on your inclinations. Also features one of the Pro-Tez bosses Ed Vertov on the tracks "Spirit of an Age " that has a small spiritual message and the voice of "Sociopath". Overall it is a fine triumph for lush, funky and ultra clean minimal techno
